EUROPEAN UNION CITIZENSHIP

Cyprus offers one of the fastest routes to obtaining a European passport through the "Scheme for Naturalization of Investors in Cyprus by exception", with a proces time of 6 months.

Criteria to qualify

  • A minimum property investment of €2 million. This could be either real estate, land development or even infrastructure projects.
  • Acquisition of real property at least 3 years prior to the date of naturalisation.
  • Clean criminal record without any frozen assets within the EU.
  • Applicant must own a private residence in the Republic of Cyprus of at least €500,000 + VAT, unless already invested in another single residential property of at least the same amount.
  • The applicant must hold a residence permit in Cyprus.

PERMANENT RESIDENCE

Cyprus offers one of the fastest routes to obtaining a European Visa through its "Permanent Residency by investment" scheme with a fast-track process of only 2 months from the application date.

Criteria to qualify

  • A minimum property investment of €300,000 excluding VAT, with a minimum initial payment of €200,000 for any property under development.
  • Proof of a €30,000 deposit amount in a Cypriot financial institution transferred from abroad, pledged for at least three years.
  • Proof of a secure annual income of €30,000 derived from abroad, with an increase of €5,000 and €8,000 for every dependent person (spouse or children) and parent respectively.
  • The holder must purchase a residence within Cyprus one year from the date of acquiring an Immigration Permit Certificate (IPC), with allowed continuous absence of no more than 2 years.
  • Clean criminal record for both applicant and spouse without any frozen assets within the EU.
  • Confirmation that the applicant or spouse do not intend to undertake employment within the Republic of Cyprus.
